Lucas James Kralman

March 27, 1975 — October 14, 2011

Walla Walla resident Lucas James Kralman, 36, passed away Oct. 14, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident.

The annual celebration of Luke began on March 27, 1975. He was born to Ronald and Leona Kralman in Walla Walla, where Luke has always been happy to call home.

Luke was raised on his family’s onion farm where he fully embraced his Italian heritage. He attended College Place and Walla Walla public schools, graduating from Walla Walla High School in 1993. Luke was devoted to the love of his life, Pamela Simons, and they married on Sept. 30, 1995. They soon started their family with their son Jake in 1996, followed by their daughter Shelby in 1998.

First and foremost, Luke was devoted to his family, but you didn’t have to be related to him to be part of his family. He spent much of his free time with his older brother, Jason and younger brother, Justin. Family traditions were a huge part of his life.

Luke was always ready and willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family working on various projects, his shop was always open to anyone who needed anything. He had classic cars and a truck in the works for Pam and his kids and was also in the process of building an elaborate clubhouse for his kids and their cousins overlooking Mill Creek.

Luke was always there when you needed him. He was fun to be around and could always make you feel good about yourself and he would never hold anything against you. He was adventurous and you just couldn’t
slow him down, except he always made time for his family. He knew where his heart was and he made certain his wife and kids knew they were his top priority. He was one of the greatest men you would ever have the pleasure of knowing. We will miss him every day.

Luke is survived by his wife and children; his mom and step-father, Leona and Bill Standage; his brothers and sisters, Jason and Beverly, Justin and Samantha; his grandmother, Mona Rhae Maccarone; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Ike and Ginger Kralman; his grandfather, Tony Maccarone Sr.; his uncle Tony Maccarone Jr.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Walla Walla. The family encourages all who attend to bring your favorite written story about Luke. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made at Banner Bank toward Jake and Shelby Kralman’s college funds thru the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder.
