Listen to Obituary

We are mournful to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Leah Kristine Hale. Her time spent on Earth was filled with laughter, love, hardship, and resilience.

Leah was born a healthy baby girl to John Dormaier and Laurel Dormaier on July 19, 1973, in Spokane, Washington, blessing them with the title change from just a married couple to now a married couple with kids. Leah spent her childhood earning top recognition in her classes for not only being academically gifted, but also for carrying herself with a sweet, humorous, and loving personality. Leah also spent a majority of her High School years playing Volleyball and later went on to coach after her career was done. Leah attended Washington State University in 1991-1995 and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biology. Leah then went on to marry the love of her life, have two beautiful children, and, 15 years later, adopt a son whom she loved like her own. Leah’s world was her Kids, and she loved them with her entire soul. In 2018, Leah was diagnosed with Breast cancer and fought hard to beat it. She went into remission for six years and lived a peaceful life until July 2024, when she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She fought a long battle, but ultimately God called her home on July 23, 2026, where she is now at peace and no longer suffering.

As we remember Leah and take this time to say goodbye, remember that even though she has passed on, Leah’s spirit still lives on in our hearts.
