Kristyn Michele Knight

Kristyn Michele (Beller) Knight went to be with Jesus on April 11, 2013. She was born October 26, 1976 in Olympia, Washington. Kristyn went to elementary school in Shelton, Washington after which, she attended middle school and high school in Belfair, Washington where she graduated from North Mason High in 1995. While a student at North Mason, Kristyn was a cheerleader as well as played softball and volleyball.

In 1996, Kristyn met and married Ian Knight in Bremerton, Washington. Together they had two sons, Kendall and Kaeden, who joined their older sister, Chelsie.

Thanks to her love of children, Kristyn pursued a career in education. While living in Florida, she taught pre-school and after returning to Washington, attended Walla Walla Community College where she received her Associates of Arts degree. Furthering her career, Kristyn went on to study Elementary Education through Washington State University Tri-Cities, which fulfilled a dream of hers to become a Cougar, a Johnson family tradition. Although Kristyn loved working with all kids, she had a unique talent and passion for children with special needs. During the past year, Kristyn was a substitute para-professional for the Walla Walla School District where she touched many hearts.

Kristyn’s children were the love of her life. Her outgoing personality and caring nature blessed any and everyone who came in contact with her. Throughout her life, she also attended different churches and God was her salvation.

Her beautiful smile will be forever missed.

Kristyn is survived by her parents Mike, and Vicki Johnson; children, Chelsie, Kendall, and Kaeden; sisters, Beth Hallmark and Lori Aerne; brothers, Robert Beller and Sean Johnson as well as numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Memory Smith; grandfather, Hap Smith; father, Robert Beller; and aunt, Enie Landsaw.

The Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 4:00 pm at College Place Presbyterian Church, 325 NE Damson Rd. in Walla Walla, Washington. A meal will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kristyn Michele Knight Memorial Fund through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
