Kristen Nicole Sumerlin

Kristen Nicole Sumerlin died peacefully in her home on March 17, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1987, in Walla Walla, Washington, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center to Jody and Vicki Sumerlin.

She is survived by her five children: Jaidyn Michael Mendoza, Marley Jayne Sumerlin, Ruger James Sumerlin, Ryder Wesley Sumerlin, and Deina Evelyn Sumerlin. Kristen had one brother, Justin Sumerlin(Liz), and two sisters, Katelyn Sumerlin and Natalie Sumerlin. She is also survived by her father, Jody(Cary); her mother, Vicki(stepfather, Brad); her Grandma Nancy(Grandpa Roger); Grandmother Sally; plus numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins and one nephew, Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her Grandpa John, Aunt Jenni, and Aunt Brenda.

Kristen graduated from high school and attended beauty school. She was a stay-at-home mom and was excited about a future employment opportunity.

Kristen enjoyed family time, music, photography, and making dream catchers. Halloween was her favorite holiday.

Kristen was a proud member of NA and dedicated many hours of service to the recovery community.

Services will be held on Friday, March 28 at 2:00 PM, at Blue Mountain Community Church on Sturm Street in Walla Walla. A potluck will follow the service.
