Kevin Matthew Miedema

Kevin Miedema was born on April 16, 1967 in Everett, WA. and passed away on September 21, 2017.

Kevin was the fourth of five boys born to Sid and Ginnie Miedema.
He was married to Cathy (Gohrick) Miedema for 26 years. Kevin and Cathy were blessed four times with Benjamin, Cole, Fischer and Matthew. Kevin’s family was the center of his life and his activities reflected his love for his wife and children. He served on the Walla Walla Valley Little League board, coached soccer, baseball and basketball. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many memorable hunting and fishing trips with his brothers and close friends. Kevin was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; his sons, Benjamin, Cole, Fischer and Matthew; his father, Sid (Dar); his brothers, Allen (Anna), David, and John (Tracy); and his sister-in-law, Chris Miedema. His father- and mother-in-law, Jim and Sharon Gohrick; brother- and sister-in-laws, Lisa (Chris) Hyland, Laura (Bill) McNally, Steve (Tracy) Gohrick and Jim (Trina) Gohrick; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ginnie; and his brother, Michael.

A Rosary will be recited at 7PM on September 27, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Church, 415 W. Alder Street. Walla Walla, WA.

Funeral Mass in celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at 10AM on September 28, 2017, at St. Patrick’s Church with Father David Kuttner, Celebrant.

A Reception will be held immediately following the service at DeSales Catholic High School, 919 E. Sumach Walla Walla.
