Kenneth Norman Jantz

January 20, 1938 — December 3, 2013

Kenneth Norman Jantz passed away
at his home in Orlando, Fla., on Dec.3, 2013.

Kenneth was born on Jan. 20,
1938, in Davenport to Howard and Dorothea Jantz.
He graduated from Davenport High School and after
graduation enlisted in the Navy and served for 4
years. He then worked as a campus police officer at
Washington State University where he met his wife,
Carolee Clodius Jantz. They returned to Waitsburg
where he began his farming career that lasted 40+
years. During his time in Waitsburg, Kenneth was
active in various organizations including the Lions
Club and the Masonic Lodge. He served on the Waitsburg
school board for several years and was a little
league baseball coach. Kenneth served as a Port of
Walla Walla Commissioner from 1982-2005. He retired
from farming and moved to Orlando in 2009.

Memorial service will be Dec. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m.
at Christ Lutheran Church with Joel Ley officiating.
Concluding services and interment will be at Blue
Mountain Memorial Gardens.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Carolee
Clodius Jantz; father, Howard Jantz; mother, Dorothea
Timm Jantz; and brother, Donald Jantz. He
is survived by his son, Dr. Michael Jantz and Mary
Shelton of Gainesville, Fla.; and daughter, Melinda
Nubla, son-in-law Joseph Nubla; and grandson, Jeffrey
Nubla of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Jerome Jantz of
Cheney; and sister, Joyce Stubbs of Spokane.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the
American Lung Association through the Herring
Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla,
