Katherine G. Thomas, 90, passed away on June 22, 2013 at her home in Walla Walla.
Katherine was born on October 4, 1922 in Chowchilla, California to Albert L. & Frances L. Schnoor Beahm. She formerly resided in Sacramento, California & moved to Walla Walla in 1994.
She enjoyed playing Bingo at Blue Mountain Bingo & Eagle’s Lodge. She loved her Cadillacs and especially her red Ford Mustang & traveling the world via cruises, flying & vacationing. Katherine was a wonderful, good hearted person who never had a negative word to say of anyone. She was always a happy person.
Katherine was a member of BPOE #287 Lady Elk, the Eagles Lodge and past president of Dress a Living Doll. She was very involved in the community volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul & Salvation Army. She helped everyone she could through her work at the various organizations.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Ben Smith of Walla Walla, WA; her son, Dale Oliver of Carmichael, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Crowder officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Sacramento, California. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Mountain Humane Society through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
