Julie Ann Sphuler

Julie Ann Sphuler, 42, died at her home in Walla Walla on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Julie was born on Sept. 29, 1969, in Placerville, Calif. She graduated from Orofino High School in 1987, Lewis and Clark State College with a bachelor of science in nursing in 1999, and from Washington State University with a Masters of Nursing in 2009.

In 1993 Julie and Don Frederickson were married in Pocatello. Their daughter AnnaBelle was born in 1997, in Lewiston. Julie and Don later divorced. In 2003 Julie and Jeff Sphuler were married in Waitsburg. They lived in College Place and Walla Walla.

Julie worked at the intensive care unit at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Emergency Care Unit at Walla Walla General Hospital, and most recently worked for the North West Emergency Group at Kadlec Hospital in Richland. She was opening a clinic in Walla Walla at the time of her death.

Julie loved life. She loved her daughter AnnaBelle and the rest of the family. She loved fun and laughter with her friends. She cherished helping others throughout her career as a nurse and nurse practitioner and touched countless people with her passion. She was strong and brave yet truly compassionate. People loved her.

Julie is survived by her husband; her daughter, AnnaBelle Fredericksen; her parents, Robert L. and Louise Morasch; her brother, Dr. Robert G. Morasch; her step-children, Lizabeth Sphuler, Abbie Farrell, Calvin Sphuler, and John Sphuler.

Viewing and visitation will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home in Walla Walla. Please join Julie’s family for a memorial service on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
