Judy Mae Zohner, born August 8, 1948, passed away at Providence St. Mary Medical Center on June 1, 2014.
Daughter of Elsie and Wayne Wells, Judy lived most of her life in Walla Walla. She was a Wa-Hi graduate and obtained her bachelor of arts from Eastern Washington University later in life.
Judy started her career with the State of Washington in the early 1970s and retired after 30-plus years of service with the Department of Labor and Industries and the Washington State Penitentiary. She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge and was always up to participate in numerous other clubs and organizations, most recently the Rancho Villa community.
Judy was dearly loved by her family and numerous friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
Judy is survived by her husband, Terry; mother, Elsie; sons, Scott and Clay; sisters, Betty June, Geraldine, and Sharon; granddaughter, Alyssa; stepdaughters, Kris, Gina and Denise; and numerous step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father, Wayne Wells and brother, Jim Wells.
Funeral service will be Thursday, 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1520 Pleasant St. Graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary Cancer Center through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA, 99362.
