Judith Jeannette Hays

Judith Jeannette Hays, 75, passed away March 20, 2012 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA.

Judy was born in Pomeroy, Washington on Nov. 9, 1936 the daughter of William E and Nola Jeannette Rawson. She married Harold Lee Hays Sept. 9, 1956 and moved near a naval base in Chula Vista, CA while Harold served in the Navy. They returned to Walla Walla where Judy worked at Green and Jackson’s Drugstore for many years. In 1976, they moved to Medical Lake, WA. where she worked for Owl Pharmacy until she retired. In 2006, they moved back to Walla Walla to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law and 2 granddaughters.

Judy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold Hays at the home; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Richard Robinson of Walla Walla, WA.; 2 granddaughters, Chloe and Samantha Robinson also of Walla Walla, WA.; and brother, William Randall Rawson of Ashburn, VA. She was preceded in death by both parents.

Viewing will be Thursday, March 22, 2012 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March, 23, 2012 at 3 p.m. also at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association thru the funeral home.
