Joyce Elaine Martin

Joyce Elaine Martin, 80, died at her home April 23, 2012, after a courageous battle against cancer. Joyce was born in Walla Walla on April 21, 1932, to Robert Harding and Hazel Dix Harding. She attended Walla Walla High School and married Darrel Martin on Aug. 4, 1949.

She is survived by her husband, Darrel; three daughters, Sandra Townley of Vashon Island, Wash., Kelly Martin of Tukwila, Wash. and Jennifer Martin of Vashon Island; three sons, Terry Martin of Kent, Wash., Mark Martin of Bonney Lake, Wash. and Jeffrey Martin of Arlington, Wash.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Martin; two brothers; and her parents.

The funeral will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
