Joy Nicole Smith

Joy Nicole Smith, age 38, was taken away from us too soon on May 2, 2013. Joy was born July 10, 1974, in Nampa, Idaho, to Korki and Jamey Smith. Joy attended Houston High School in Big Lake Alaska and Walla Walla Community College.

Joy had two children, Kayla Standard and Savannah Smith. Joy loved her children with all of her heart. Joy loved spending time with her family and friends and was always there for those she loved.

Joy is survived by daughters, Kayla Standard and Savannah Smith; parents, Korki Smith and Jamey Smith; siblings, Sherry Smith and Tim Smith of Seattle; Molly Smith, Lindsey and Jesse Lopez of Walla Walla; nieces and nephews, Alexia Smith and Hope McMahon, Solomon, Leilani and Zach Lopez all of Walla Walla.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Blue Mountain Community Church, 928 Sturm St. with Rev. James Snyder officiating. Potluck to follow. Contributions to children can be made at Banner Bank under an account set up under Molly M. Smith.
