Joshua Kerry Taylor peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
He was 40 years old. Joshua was born in Southern California and spent his adolescent years in Bullhead City, AZ and Walla Walla, WA.
His most memorable times were spent on the Colorado River, surrounded by family. He spent his teenage years in Massachusetts and later moved to Walla Walla where he was a machinist at Nelson Irrigation. Joshua enjoyed motorcycles and riding bikes with his son. Joshua had a reverence for his childhood years spent with dear cousins and was known for his kind heart, beautiful blue eyes and his sensitive nature.
Joshua is survived by his son, Landyn; both parents, Kerry Raymond Taylor (father) and Connie Joanne Taylor (mother); siblings, Jamie Gagnon, Julie Taylor, Jack Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Adam Taylor, and Emily Taylor. Additionally, paternal grandmother, Janet Taylor and maternal grandmother, Pauline Avera. Aunts and uncles; Kimmy Taylor, Casey Taylor, Jamie Mahlstedt, George Mahlstedt, Phyllis Alvey, Carol Taylor, Sharon Hoalst, Dean Hoalst, Ray Avera and nephew Bailey Malloy. He also leaves behind many dear cousins, friends and extended family.
Joshua was preceded in death by James Taylor, paternal grandfather; Alan Avera, maternal grandfather; uncles, Ken Taylor and Dave Alvey; cousin, Joseph Taylor.
The family would like to thank the staff of Nelson Irrigation for all they did to support Josh during his seven years of employment. They treated Joshua like family and we are grateful.
A private memorial service will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. A graveside service will immediately follow at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 350 S. Second Avenue, Walla Walla, WA 99362. All family and friends are encouraged to attend.
Memorials may be sent in the name of his son Landyn to help fund his college education through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
