Joseph George Stinebaugh

October 13, 1959 — April 27, 2015

Joseph (Joe) George Stinebaugh was born Oct. 13, 1959, in Walla Walla to George Emil and Mary Lou Huff Stinebaugh. He passed away surrounded by family and close friends.

Joe graduated in 1978 from Walla Walla High School, where he enjoyed photography, auto mechanics and Junior ROTC. After graduation Joe worked for Firestone Tire and Lusk Brake and Alignment. He then started working for the Walla Walla County Road Department in September 1980 until his untimely passing.

His favorite job was driving the grader. Joe loved his dogs, especially golden labs and retrievers, who are all waiting for him in heaven to take them for a nice long walk. He belonged to the National Rifle Association. In the past, Joe helped with the Balloon Stampede ground crew.

Joe is survived by sister, Susan; brother, Jeff (Angie); nephew, Travis; nieces, Paige, Jayden and Cheyanne; and special friend Debbie Stinebaugh and family.

The Rosary will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 6 p.m. at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla. The memorial funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father David Gaines, celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence St. Mary’s Regional Cancer Center through the funeral home.
