Jim Leroue was born in Dayton on Feb. 26, 1949, and died at his home in College Place on July 24, 2015. Jim worked for farmers in the Waitsburg area, at Hanford, and 27 years for the Washington State Department of Transportation. He retired in 2011.
Jim loved golf, 4-wheeling, music, camping, but his greatest love and joy was his family.
Jim married Janet, his high school sweetheart, in 1971. Jim is survived by Janet; daughters, Heather, Heidi, Jamie and Jennifer; and grandchildren, Ashley, Elizabeth, Megan, Emily, Deion, Madison and Shaun. He is also survived by three brothers, Bob, Cecil and Randy; two sisters, Darlene and Tammy. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Wilma Leroue; three brothers, Ray, Ron and Tony; two sisters, Lona and Mary.
Memorial services will be Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Eastgate Seventh-day Adventist Church in Walla Walla.
Jim’s dream was to guarantee a college education for each of his grandchildren. An account will be set up to help realize Jim’s dream. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his honor through Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
