Jerry Royse

Jerry Royse, 62, of Walla Walla, passed away on August 24, 2026.

Born on April 18, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jerry was the second-born, beloved son of David “Skip” and Dianna Royse. He spent most of his life in Walla Walla, where he enjoyed the mountains, long drives, and spending time with his family —especially at Wallowa Lake. Jerry had a large personality and an even bigger heart. He never met a stranger, always having the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, like he’d known them for years. He was funny, warm, and stubborn; he had great sarcasm, a memorable laugh, but most importantly, he had a huge heart and loved his family immensely. He was interested in gardening, wheeling, and trucks, and never found something he couldn’t learn to fix. Seeing the value in the old; and notably loving his 78 blue Ford.

Jerry is survived by his three children, Chance, Josie, and Ashton Royse (Maeson); five grandchildren, Ryker, Taylee, Beau, Waylon, and Hadley; four siblings, Shawn Royse (Kirsten), Brett Royse, Wayne Royse (Denè), and Amber McDole (Paul); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, David “Skip” and Dianna Royse.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 12-6 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
