Jerry Wayne Nielsen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Nielsen, who left us on January 6, 2025. He was surrounded by friends and family until the end. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a beloved grandfather.

Born on May 9, 1941, Jerry was the only child of Bill and Erma Nielsen. Jerry was athletic and participated in FFA and 4H. He graduated from Walla Walla High School and went on to pursue his passion in agriculture banking. He spent nearly four decades working in his field and was respected for his hard work, dedication, and expertise.

Jerry met the love of his life, Janice Lane, and they were married for over sixty-three wonderful years. They were blessed with two children and five grandchildren.

Jerry had a love for woodworking, rockhounding, playing cards, and he loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Nielsen. His daughter, Judy Bjorkman, and her children, Anders and Gwen. His son, Jason Nielsen (wife Sarah), and their children Piper, Lane, and Hadley. Plus, many other family members and friends, who will miss him dearly.

The graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Mountain View Cemetery with Reverend Paul Mitchell officiating.
