Jeanine Ann (Huff) Rahn, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Parkview Memory Care in Walla Walla, Washington, the city where she was born on August 23, 1935. Her long and faith-filled life was a testament to love, devotion, and grace.
Jeanine was the beloved wife of Harold Rahn and the devoted mother of four sons: Tim, Daniel, Dave, and Scott. She was also a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her love into every moment spent with them.
A true farm girl at heart, Jeanine found joy in raising cattle and working alongside her husband in his business. Yet it was in her garden that she truly flourished. With a green thumb and an eye for beauty, she could grow anything-but it was her flowers that brought her the most pride. Their vibrant colors often adorned the altar at St. Patrick's Church, where Jeanine worshipped faithfully throughout her life.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation of everything she did. A devoted parishioner who regularly attended Mass, Jeanine had a deep reverence for the Blessed Mother and actively participated in prayer groups. Her spirituality radiated through her actions-whether among family, friends, or strangers-and left a lasting impression on all who encountered her.
Jeanine had a gift for making others feel welcome and loved. Her smile lit up every room she entered and was freely given to everyone she met. She expressed her care through simple yet profound gestures, like baking her legendary banana chocolate chip cookies or warm cinnamon rolls that became family favorites across generations.
She found peace in watching birds from her window and joy in tending to each comer of her garden with patience and care. These quiet moments reflected the gentle strength with which she lived a life rooted in faith, nurtured by love, and shared generously with others.
Jeanine Ann Rahn leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, boundless love for her family, and a spirit that touched countless lives. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
