Jean Vaughn

She was born Oct. 17, 1921, in New Rockford, N.D., moving with her family to the Spokane at the age of 5.

She lived and worked in the Spokane area until she and her husband retired, then moving to Touchet, to farm in 1973.

She was a homemaker, nurses’ aide, also working for Armour’s Meat Packing Company for 20 years before retiring. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She also loved painting and drawing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome (JW), of 71 years; parents; one brother; one infant son; and four grandchildren. She is survived by son, Jerry Vaughn (Carol); two daughters, Marie Howell (Doug), Leona Raven (Larry); three sisters; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Walla Walla Hospice and Park Manor Long Term Center for her care. There will be a memorial for her at a later time with a notice in the paper as to when.
