We are sad to announce the passing of Jane Lorene Pemberton Wilson on December 9, 2022, at her Walla Walla home, for which she lived in for nearly 40 years. Jane passed peacefully, embraced in the presence of her loving husband and children after a long battle with cancer.
Jane was born in Walla Walla on September 22, 1957, to George and Patty (Clayton) Pemberton. Jane attended school locally and graduated in June of 1976. After high school, she started working with disabled adults as an instructor. She taught many of them throughout her career, which was more of a passion than a job. She remained at the same company for 40 years before her retirement in June 2020.
Jane met her lifelong soulmate, Delmar F Wilson, in 1983. They enjoyed many trips to various nearby tourist locations enjoying the views and companionship together, which strengthened their bond. Delmar proposed to her, and the two were wed in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on May 12, 1989, in the presence of her mother, Patty L. (Pemberton) Powell, and Stepfather, Roy Powell. Jane loved becoming a mom to Sandra Dee (Wilson) Price and Brian Leon Wilson as her own children.
Jane had many hobbies, which included playing bunco every week with her mom and friends at various homes each week. Another favorite of Janes was to spend weekends camping and enjoying the wilderness and mountain views of Wallowa Lake, Mt St. Helens, or the coastlines of Oregon. Including breathtaking views of Canon Beach, Lincoln City, or Depot Bay.
Jane is survived by her soulmate, Delmar Wilson, at home; her daughter, Sandra (Wilson) Price, and her son, Brian Leon Wilson, both of Walla Walla; brother, Craig Allen Pemberton of Walla Walla; her Aunt Karen of Walla Walla; and various cousins. Jane also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Brandi Faye Price of Walla Walla and Amanda Lynn Price of Bremerton, Washington. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Patty (Clayton) Pemberton Powell and George Pemberton, her stepfather, Roy Powell, and her grandparents E.D and Lorene Clayton, and George and ----- Pemberton.
