Jane was born on April 25, 1951, to parents Ed and Lois Sporleder and her sister, Judy.

She was lively and full of energy. Jane loved animals and brought home many cats and dogs throughout her life. She grew up riding horses and served as President of the Wagonettes.

Jane went to Berney School, Pioneer Junior High, and graduated from Walla Walla High School. She was a proud graduate of Washington State University -- Go Cougs!

She welcomed her son Christopher home in April 1984. Jane loved cheering at his hockey games, going to his band concerts, visiting him in Seattle, playing golf, and traveling all over. Jane and Christopher always had a great time together.

Through her youth advocacy work, she positively impacted the lives of many across Walla Walla County. She spent many years as a Counselor at Paine School. She was also a Program Manager for the Walla Walla/Columbia Counties CASA Program.

Jane is survived by her son Christopher James Kelly, her sister Judy Jackley, her niece Audra Jane Jackley, and her dog Chloe as well as many loving friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Lois Sporleder.

Jane passed peacefully on July 12. A larger celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
