James Harold Wright Jr., 65, of Walla Walla died July 3, 2017. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Helen; and his brother, Stephen Wright. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Julia of 7 years. He is also lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jenny
Johnston and Emily Noyes; his son, Stephen Wright; and precious grandchildren and other relatives.
Jim was born in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1951. He served as a police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department for 9 years before moving to Washington where he continued to be involved in law enforcement in some facet for a total of 30 years. Jim moved to Las Vegas, where he lived close to all three of his children and
their families. He became a U.S. Marshal for the Las Vegas Courts where he met his wife Julia, who also worked for the Courts at the time.
Jim and Julia moved to Walla Walla in May of 2016, to pursue their dream. Jim was so proud to bring to Walla Walla a wine tour experience like never before. He provided unique, eco-friendly tours while riding in his Tesla Model X90D, the greenest and highest tech vehicle on the planet. With the help of the Walla
Walla community, Tesla Winery Tours became an instant success.
Not only is Tesla Winery Tours “rooted in the future”,it is now rooted in the heart of Walla Walla.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday,
July 9, at Northstar Winery. Memorial donations may
be made to Hospice or charity of your choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA 99362
