James Andrew Anderson

James Andrew Anderson passed away on November 29, 2011 in Bothell, Washington.

Jim was born at Patterson, Washington July 7, 1916 the son of James Andrew Anderson & Bessi Goff Anderson. As a student at Touchet High School, Jim played football & baseball. He married Marjorie Evelyn Munns of Touchet in 1939. The couple moved to Walla Walla where he went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad.

In 1946, the couple moved to Pasco where Jim began working for the Northern Pacific Railroad. He worked for the Northern Pacific for 33 years from 1946 to 1979 when he retired. Jim & Marjorie made their home in Pasco from 1946 to 2006. When Marjorie passed away, Jim moved to Lynnwood, Washington to be near his daughter, Mary Anderson Wimer, son-in-law, Barney, granddaughter, Wendy Wimer Hill, grandson-in-law, John Hill and 2 great granddaughters, Brooke & Brinkley.

He leaves 1 brother, Perry Anderson, of Walla Walla and follows in death his parents, his wife and siblings, Helen Kissinger, Louis Anderson and Dorothy Sutherland.

Viewing & visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. The Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery with Barney Wimer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Doctors without Borders Foundation through the funeral home.
