Honey Lou Eagon

Honey Lou Eagon, 84, of 1500 Catherine St., died at her assisted living residence at Wheatland Village.

The Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder St., Walla Walla, WA with Reverend Jim Snyder officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through the funeral home.

Honey Lou was born in San Francisco, California on July 11, 1928 to David & Margaret Reeder Lowman. She graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1947 and a year later, married Jack Eagon in a backyard wedding in Walla Walla. Jack & Honey Lou raised their three sons, Rich, Paul & Tom right here in the valley. Her sons still reside here & have raised their families here as well.

Honey Lou worked for many years as an aide in the emergency room at St. Mary’s Hospital until her retirement. For a number of years, she & her husband enjoyed snowmobiling and were members of the Dayton Snowmobile Club. Over the years, Honey Lou especially enjoyed spending time working on her many projects. Those projects included: tole painting, making wood carvings, sewing & quilting. She was a member of the Walla Walla Quilt Club.

Honey Lou is survived by her 3 sons, Rich, Paul & Tom Eagon, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Eagon; a brother, David Lowman Jr.; and a grandson, John Eagon.
