Homer J. "Jim" Myers

June 24, 1937 — August 14, 2022

Homer J. “Jim” Myers, born to Harold J. and Winifred N. (Brown) Myers on June 24, 1937, in Walla Walla, passed away at a care facility in Spokane Valley on August 14, 2022, at the age of 85.

Jim attended Prospect Point grade school and graduated from Wa-Hi in 1956. At age 18, he joined the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was employed at Myers Radio and Television with his older brother, Harold, which was founded by their father in 1944; until its closure in 2007. He was a member of the N.W. Vintage Radio Society in Portland, OR, and for many years attended their Swap Meets. He enjoyed working on old radios and phonographs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Merrill (Tubby) Myers and his wife June; sister-in-law, Jeanne Myers; brothers-in-law, Nevin Fehrenbacher, Robert M. Logsdon, Gordon Bogart; and five nephews.

He is survived by his siblings, Harold L. Myers, Marilyn Fehrenbacher, Nadine Bogart, and Nancy “Jane” Brown; 19 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

He attended Pioneer United Methodist Church.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Mountain View Cemetery with Reverend Paul Mitchell and Reverend Bill Peck officiating.
