Henriette was born in Grenable, France on January 15, 1924. Her mother’s name was Henriette & her father’s name was Henry Raffin. Henriette’s brother’s name was Marcel Raffin; he was killed by the Germans in WWII.

Henriette attended catholic school in France. Henriette & her mother lived in Grenable when the German occupied the city for 3 years. American troops came into Grenable in 1944.

Henriette met Richard at a dance when Grenable was liberated; they were married on June 2, 1945. Henriette joined Richard in Walla Walla in February 1946. They had one daughter, Linda Raymer that still lives in Walla Walla.

Viewing & visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. The Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Mountain View Cemetery with Father David Gaines officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church through the funeral home.
