Hedwig “Hedy” Pfaunmiller
went home to her Savior on August 6, 2013 with her companion Missy by her side.

Hedy was born in Arnstorf Germany to August and Christine Mayr. She was later adopted by Gordon and Rheua Newton on August 15, 1957.

On February 14, 1975 she married Galen Lee Pfaunmiller in Tacoma, Wash. where they lived until the early 1980’s at which time they moved to Walla Walla with Greg and Debbie Rensland when he went to work at the Penitentiary.

In 1989 Hedy attended Walla Walla Community College where she met her closest and dearest friend
Debbie Blair.

She loved camping, fishing, and hunting until she became ill and was unable to do those things. Hedy
enjoyed being around people and had made many friends at her new home at Affinity.

Hedy is survived by her daughter Michelle “CindyLee” Pfaunmiller, a sister Natalie Shephard, her best friend Debbie Blair, and her companion Missy. She is preceded in death by her husband Galen and her parents.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 10 a.m at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through the funeral home.
