Harry Lee McCauley, 82, was called to the Lord at home surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 2, 2013. He was born Sept 6, 1931 in Butte, Montana to Homer and Ruth McCauley. The family moved to Milton-Freewater where Harry attended Mac High. He then went to work at Jackson Motor Company as a machinist and later to Teague Motor Company as a machinist and service manager for 40 years.
Harry married the love of his life, Norma Theresa Pratt, on June 28, 1949. They were married for 58 wonderful, loving years before her death in 2007.
Harry loved to travel with his wife in their motor home, boating & snowmobiling. One of Harry's greatest joys was his dog, Buffy, being with his kids and family and having a relationship with God. He was a life time member of the Walla Walla Elks #287, Wheelers, Good Sams, Central Christian Church, was on the Board of Trustees, and Blue Mountain Boat Club.
He is survived by his children, Vickie Rogers (Jay), Ron McCauley (Linda), Dan McCauley (Cathy); brothers, Bob and Dale McCauley; grandchildren, Heather, Alicia, Jessie, Mindy, Ron Jr., Shane, Travis, Garrett & Jenna; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zyan, Julia, Brianna, Sidney, Cole, Trey, Bradin, Quin & Will. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer McCauley and brother, Don McCauley.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Central Christian Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Hospice or charity of choice through Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla.
