Harry Masatsugi Hamada

Harry Masatsugi Hamada, age 94, died at the Washington Odd Fellows Home on December 25, 2013.

Harry was born on January 4, 1919 in Kent, Washington. He was the first of eight children born to Jikichi & Hanayo Hamada. Harry farmed & went into business with his brothers at Hamada Brothers Greenhouse.

He married Myrtle O’Neita Hurst on October 8, 1955. He was an avid golfer & enjoyed playing cards with his friend at the Elks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, O’Neita; 3 brothers, Karl, Tom & Charles and 2 sisters, Alice & Margaret. He is survived by his brothers, Frank & Joe and numerous nieces & nephews.

A private family graveside service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or the Tall Elks program through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
