Guadalupe “Lupe” Canizalez Coronado was born and raised in Edinburg, Texas, on November 5, 1946. His beloved parents, Francisco and Trinidad, had four grateful children, Jose and Lucio, and his sister Estella. Lupe passed away on April 26, 2022, at the age of 75.
His silent battle with liver/kidney cancer showed his true courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Lupe came out as a hero and stayed strong for his family until the very end.
As a young man, his desire and passion was to travel. He became a long road CDL truck driver for an amazing 15 years! At one of his traveling stops, he met a beautiful young lady in Warm Springs, OR, Jeannie “Susan” Switzler. It was love at first sight; they stayed strong and celebrated 43 years of marriage.
Lupe is survived by his loving wife, Susan. He was very much a proud papa to all his children, three daughters, Linda, Elvina, and Christina; two sons, Lupe Jr. and Gilbert. His words of wisdom and bible teachings will be dearly missed.
Guadalupe had a viewing in Walla Walla on May 1, 2022. Then, he was transported to the Agency Longhouse in Warm Springs, OR, for a burial Ceremony given by Dez Lumpmouth, a full gospel preacher. Our dad, grandfather, brother, son, best friend, and gospel preacher was then peacefully laid to rest at the Agency Cemetery on May 2, 2022.
