Greg “Morry” Morrison, 70, a long time and proud resident of Walla Walla, died at his home on July 5, with his wife and friends by his side. Greg was born on April 9, 1947, to father Jack Morrison and mother Kaye Husby. Greg was born and raised in Walla Walla. Greg attended Sharpstein Elementary, Pioneer Middle School and Wa-Hi, class of 1965. Greg attended the University of Washington, was a Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brother and a life long member of the Walla Walla Country Club.
He pursued his family road construction business mastering all the trades. His true passion was golf and skiing, where he excelled, and turning work into pleasure doing ski patrol jobs and then owning and operating a ski helicopter guide service for the rich and famous in Sun Valley. There is even a ski slope
named Morry slope. After retiring, he turned his golf venture into owning and operating Tour Fairway Golf Range and Custom Club Shop.
In November 2000, Greg married Sandy McKillip, and 10 years later they renewed their wedding vows. Their marriage was filled with love and respect for each other, they enjoyed traveling, golfing and entertaining friends and family.
Greg shared his birthday with brother Jock, which is 6 yours younger. Greg was always very proud of his children, Grant Camp and Brooke Neale.
Greg is preceded in death by his mother and father. Survived by his wife, Sandy; brother, Jock and wife Janet; son, Grant and wife Kyle; daughter, Brooke and husband Robert; stepsons, Michael McKillip and wife Jenny, Shane McKillip and wife Sonya; and seven grandchildren.
In honor of Greg, a celebration of life will be held at the Walla Walla Country Club, Sunday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Regional Cancer Center through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla.
