Gerald C. Watson of Walla Walla passed
away July 15, 2016, at Providence St.
Mary Medical Center at the age of 73.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, July 21,
2016, 1 p.m. at Blue Mountain Memorial Gardens,
followed by a potluck at 3 p.m.
Gerald was born March 7, 1943, in Walla Walla,
the son of Cecil and Wilma Watson. He grew up in
Touchet, where he attended and graduated high
school. He later graduated from Columbia Basin College
with a degree in business administration. He
married Judith Snowden of Milton-Freewater, May 2,
1965; they later divorced. He worked for Sears in various
jobs for 40 years, retiring in 2004. He also served
in the Washington National Guard from 1965-1971.
Over the years he was a member of the Touchet
Grange, Walla Walla Eagles, Walla Walla Jaycees,
and American Legion Post #32. He coached and umpired
in various baseball leagues and also coached
and bowled in several leagues. He was an avid Seahawk
and Mariner fan, interested in military history,
and enjoyed playing board games.
Gerald is survived by his mother; sons, Jerald and
Ryan; daughter, Kelli Tucker; granddaughters,
Hayden, Raghan, and Kendall Tucker; brother, Steve
(Jenny); sister, Linda Workman; sister-in-law, Peggy.
He was preceded in death by his father, and brother,
Leonard.
