George Stinebaugh Jr

December 30, 1932 — February 27, 2014

George Emil Stinebaugh Jr., 81, of College Place, passed away on Feb. 27, 2014, at Washington Odd Fellows.

He was born to George Emil Stinebaugh Sr. and Izetta Jarvis on Dec. 30, 1932 in Grangeville, Idaho. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Mary Lou Huff; they were married for 53 years. George worked for Fuller O’Brien Paints, which became Yale Paint and Glass, in sales and service. George was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul and founding member of the Fort Walla Walla Muzzleloaders.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou (2009); sisters, Louise Huff, Delphine Buschini and Pat Hubbard. He is survived by daughter, Susan Stinebaugh; sons, Joe Stinebaugh and Jeff (Angie) Stinebaugh; two grandchildren, Paige Stinebaugh and Travis Stinebaugh.

Rosary is scheduled Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at Herring Funeral Home. Memorial service is Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Private family internment. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul through the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
