Genevieve Carol Rolph

Genevieve Carol Rolph died December 15, 2011 at her home. She was 72. Carol was born on December 20, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Genevieve and Wesley Streeter.

Carol dedicated her career to education and spent 21 years teaching at Blue Ridge Elementary School. While at Blue Ridge, she formed many close, long lasting bonds with colleagues and students.

Carol belonged to the Baha’i faith and enjoyed the companionship of the Baha’i Community in Walla Walla. She also had a love of travel and learning about different cultures.

Carol was married to the late Harold Eugene Rolph, Jr. and is survived by her sister, Barbara Garland; children Gregory Rolph, Barbara Tate, Douglas Rolph and Elizabeth Gaines; and grandchildren Christopher Cavazos, Brandon Cavazos, Elizabeth Cavazos, Trevor Gaines, Madeline Cavazos, Caylyn Rolph-Tate and Megan Gaines. In addition, she leaves behind many close, beloved friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 21 at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Cemetery. Immediately following the service a reception will be hosted at Blue Ridge Elementary School, 1150 West Chestnut, Walla Walla, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Regional Cancer Center Special Needs Fund or Walla Walla Community Hospice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla
