Gavin Alexander Mcevoy

Gavin Alexander McEvoy, loving and lovable son, brother, and best friend to many, passed away in his Spokane apartment after a recent fall. Gavin was born to Rick and Rosie McEvoy in Kennewick, December 24, 1995. Gavin’s passing will leave an unfillable hole in the hearts of many, especially his father Rick, mother Rosie, brother Garrett, and his little sister Gabriella.

We will cherish the time we had with Gavin, and look forward to meeting again in the Heavens. Gavin had just returned to college where he aspired to be an Attorney and even mentioned running for the Senate some day. He proudly told us recently that he was top salesperson with the firm for which he worked. Anyone who knew Gavin enjoyed his quick wit, charm, generosity, and beautiful smile. Gavin had an extremely bright mind, incredible vocabulary, and wouldn’t mind correcting other’s grammar. Gavin loved baseball, and especially the New York Yankees, and had planned a trip with his buddy’s this summer to a field they had yet to see, New York, Boston, or maybe Chicago. Gavin attended Milton Freewater, College Place and Walla Walla Schools, graduating from WA-HI in 2014.

Gavin was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle Jerry McEvoy; and aunt Lupe Ocanaz. He leaves behind his parents, Rick and Rosie McEvoy; brother, Garrett McEvoy (wife Tianna); and sister, Gabriella McEvoy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins; his loving dog Buddy; and many many good friends across the Northwest and beyond. A funeral and celebration of life will be held Friday, April 21, at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home in Walla Walla at 1 p.m. followed by burial near his grandparents, at Mountain View Cemetery.
