Gabriela Geraldine Felix Flores

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, the family of Gabriela Geraldine Felix Flores announces her passing on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 34.

Gabriela was born on November 27, 1990, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington, to Rosalinda Flores Cantu of Edinburg, Texas, and Jesus Felix Lopez of Maripita, Sinaloa de Leyva, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Affectionately known by many names—Gabby, Gerol, Geraldine, Gaviota, and especially Traviesa, the nickname that captured her playful, free-spirited, and loving personality—Gabriela brought light and laughter everywhere she went.

She was one of nine siblings and is preceded in death by her beloved brothers Israel “Riley” Ruiz (October 22, 2008) and Jesus Felix Flores Jr. (October 4, 2024). She is survived by her loving siblings: Armando Ruiz, Monica Ruiz, Domingo Ruiz, Vanessa Molina, Rosa Isabel Villalpando, and Daniela Ruby Felix, who will forever carry her memory close to their hearts.

Gabriela was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was her four children: Francisco Villagomez Jr., Damián Villagomez, Ruby Rose Flores, and Elianna Araceli Torres Felix. Her love for them was unconditional, her pride immeasurable, and her presence irreplaceable.

She also leaves behind a large, loving family—30 nieces and nephews, 9 great-nieces and nephews, and one more blessing on the way, as well as her caring uncle Lino Flores.

Gabriela grew up in College Place, Washington, where she attended Davis Elementary, Sager Middle School, and Walla Walla High School. She had a natural love for animals and spent much of her life rescuing and caring for them. Her dream was to become a veterinarian, a calling that reflected her kind and nurturing soul.

She was creative, artistic, and full of imagination—she loved to draw, paint, and craft, always creating something beautiful to share with those she loved.

Her art was a reflection of her heart—colorful, expressive, and full of life.

Throughout her life, Gabriela worked as an interpreter, custodian, cashier, and caregiver. No matter the job, she always gave her best with humility and love. She was known for her compassion, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need.

To her family and friends, Gabriela was more than a daughter, sister, and mother—she was the heart of every gathering. The fun aunt, the loyal friend, and the bright spirit who made everyone feel loved and understood.

She leaves behind many heartbroken loved ones—family and friends who will forever miss her laughter, her courage, and her warm, giving heart. Though her time on Earth was short, the love she left behind will never fade.

Now reunited in Heaven with her brothers Riley and Junior, Gabriela shines above with the same radiant smile and twinkle in her eye that earned her the name Traviesa.

Her laughter will echo in our memories, her love will live in our hearts, and her spirit will guide us until we meet again.

Viewing and Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:30 PM, at the Chapel of the Herring Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
