Frank Pugliese

September 9, 1916 — June 19, 2014

Frank was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Antonio Pugliese and Filomena Chiodo. The family moved to Walla Walla when he was age eight. He attended Braden School and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

He married Rose Spanish in 1935 and they were married for 70 years until her death in 2005.

He joined the Walla Walla Fire Department in 1943, retiring as a lieutenant in 1969. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing with his sons, attending their sport programs at St. Patrick's School and repairing firemen's vehicles on his day off.

He is survived by a daughter, Jeanne (Aubrey) Burke of Vancouver, WA; two sons, Anthony (Becky) and Frankie, Jr. of Kennewick; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dan and Fred, and sisters Rosemary and Helen.

Graveside Service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery on July 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or St. Francis Church through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.
