Elizabeth "Jene" Hall

Jene Hall (Betty Jene) passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose faith, kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew her. She was a shining example of what it means to not just be a believer but a true follower of Christ. After decades of service as an elementary school teacher, she retired early to serve others. She loved her church families, which included Yakima First Presbyterian, Trinity Presbyterian (Tacoma), and College Place Presbyterian (Walla Walla). Though her service extended well beyond the walls of the church. Jene had a heart for the people of China and spent years in China introducing Jesus to college students and anyone else whom she spoke with. She also went on two mission trips to Guatemala and was involved in countless volunteer opportunities with her local communities. Jene was the same at home. She made friends wherever she went and had a knack for always making those around her feel known and loved.

Her son, daughter-in-law, sister, nieces, and grandchildren will miss her deeply and be forever thankful for the significant role she played in their lives and the love she shared.

A memorial service will be held on August 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the College Place Presbyterian Church, located at 325 NE Damson Ave, College Place, WA 99324. The service will also be live-streamed on the church website (WWW.CPPC.US).
