Elizabeth Kate Aguilar

Elizabeth Kate Aguilar, born to Joe
Paul and Michelle Marie Aguilar, in
Walla Walla. Our precious Katie girl
passed into glory Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at 9:45 p.m.
surrounded by family and friends.
She was our greatest gift and joy. Kate was loved by
all who knew her. Her beautiful spirit brought out the
best in everyone she met. Words were not needed to
communicate from her heart, sparkly eyes and lifted
brow told you all you needed to know. To have known
her is to have been profoundly blessed. Throughout
her life, she loved to laugh, and a karate chop
or high kick cracked her up. She loved to be glitzed
and glammed, holding as still as she could getting
her hair foiled. Kate’s favorite color was green. She
loved babies and playing in the water.
She adored her brothers, Troy Paul (20), Peter Levi
(17), and Isaac Thomas (14), loyal to them in any situation.
She loved the innumerable times they checked
on her, “pushed play” for her video or music, and for
going with her to a Raffi concert in April 2016. It is a
memory we all cherish.
She was helped and loved by so many, Dr. Ted Bergstrom,
Lillie Rice Center, Davis School teachers, staff
and bus drivers, Wa-Hi teachers, staff, student aides,
therapists, nurse Vicky, secretaries, bus drivers and
principal, long term beloved care givers that became
family: Maria Chavira and Patricia Angel, challenger
baseball Coach Mike Spies, peer mentors, Zodniks
and Richards’ families, Steve Jordan, Homecare Services,
beloved cousins, aunties, uncles, friend “Red
haired Jacob” Ruchert, extended family, grandpa
and grandma Aguilar, and grandma and grandpa
Blevins, and her loving Dad and Mother.
Kate is dancing with God, feeling no pain, and singing
Raffi songs with her own voice. Her own words.
And a smile on her face. Funeral is Friday, Oct. 7,
12:00 p.m. at the Blue Mountain Community Church,
with a private graveside service to follow, and an all
invited meal at 2:30 p.m., at the Church, to follow.
