Our family mournfully announces the passing of Eleanor Nadine Eilertson, who left this earth much too soon and unexpectedly on October 21, 2024.
Ellie was born on April 2, 2015, in Walla Walla, WA. Her parents were ecstatic to add a sweet little girl to their family, and Ellie quickly became “daddy’s little girl.” Ellie grew to love cooking, swimming, coloring, playing games, and animals of all kinds, but especially horses. Some of her favorite times were spent having coffee with Grandma Terry, being spoiled by Uncle Josh and Aunt Natalie, playing with her neighbors Samantha and Stephanie, bossing her brothers, snuggling with her dog Gidget, swimming with cousins at Aunt Kristy’s house, giving big hugs to Grandpa Kevin, camping with cousins, having long conversations with Grandma Carman on the way to gymnastics, washing cars with Grandpa Rich, and playing the game Pit with her cousins Kyle and Ashley.
Ellie and her family were very active with their church family at Stateline Church. She loved spending time with her best friend Kate and all the other girls at church, worshiping Jesus and serving in His name. One of Ellie’s favorite verses was Proverbs 3:5-6.
Ellie’s love for life was obvious and contagious. She was always seen smiling and giggling, wanting to ensure everyone was cared for and felt included, and letting her light shine bright wherever she went. Ellie’s life was cut short, but the impression she left on the lives of others will never be forgotten.
Ellie will always be remembered by her loving parents, Travis and April; her older brothers, Isaac and J.W; her grandparents, Kevin and Carman Gerking, and Rich and Terry Eilertson; her uncles Josh Gerking (Natalie), Eric Eilertson (Brandy); numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
A public viewing at Herring-Groseclose Funeral Home will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at Stateline Church. The family requests guests celebrate Ellie by wearing colors to the service.
