Dorothy Ellen Miller

Dorothy Ellen Miller, 75, passed away Sept. 14, 2011.

She was born April 19, 1936, in Toppenish, Washington to Leonard and Rose Cox. Dorothy was married to Duane Miller Jan. 19, 1957. They moved to Walla Walla in 1964. She was proceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter. Survived by sister, Laura-
Paulson; daughter, Lori (Duane) Montgomery; two sons, John (Micki) Miller and Bill Miller; four grandsons, and one great-grandson.

Dorothy worked as a telephone operator, waitress at the Blue Mountain, a den mother for the cub scouts but most importantly as a loving mother and homemaker. She loved yard work and feeding the bird, squirrels and the neighborhood dogs.

A celebration of life gathering will be at Pioneer Park in the Garden Building near the wedding fountain at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home
