Doris Janet Morris

Doris Janet Morris, longtime resident of Walla Walla, passed away peacdfully at home with family at her side on Sunday, February 19, 2012.

Doris was born in Pendleton, Oregon to Benjamin I. Enbysk and Jenny Holmgren Enbysk on January 24, 1927. She was the granddaughter of Umatilla County Pioneers on both sides of her family. She married August Blom in September of 1943. August passed away in July of 1952. In November of 1953, she married Elson Morris in Walla Walla. Elson passed away in May of 1970. Doris continued to live in Walla Walla until her passing.

Three children were born to August & Doris. She is survived by sons, John W. Blom, (Bridget) and Lloyd “Les” Blom (Carol). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Viola Blom. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Doris was the last of 7 siblings. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters & 3 brothers.

Cremation has occurred and cremains will be interred by private service alongside her daughter, Viola and Viola’s father, August Blom at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton, Oregon. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled by the family at a future date. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through the Herring Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, Wa.
