Delia Copeland

Delia Copeland passed away on February 5, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 27, 1962 to Roberto & Olga (Guel) Garza in Walla Walla, WA.

Delia graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1980. She attended Walla Walla Community College in Walla Walla as well as Renton Technical College in Renton, WA. In 1983, she married Ralph Wasson. They later divorced. In 1998, she married Jeremy Copeland and they had one daughter, Katelyn Emily Copeland. They also later divorced.

Delia lived in the Seattle area for a number of years and moved back to Walla Walla in 2005. She worked in retail most of her life. She enjoyed visiting family and always cheered during the Seahawk games. Nothing pleased Delia more than bringing love and laughter to all those she loved.

She is survived by her parents of Walla Walla; her daughter, Emily of Port Angeles, WA., three sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana (Chris) McFetridge, Dora (Tony) Gonzalez and Debbie (Mark) Swisher; her companion, David Zamora and grandfather, Antonio Garcia all of Walla Walla, WA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; Rosa Ramos and Alfonso Sr. & Mercedes Guel.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice through the funeral home.
