On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Dawn Marie Laurendine passed away at her home in Walla Walla, WA with her husband, Greg Kinsinger, the love of her life, at her side. Dawn was 63. Dawn was born in New Orleans on May 11, 1955 to the late John “Jack” and Heloise Janning Laurendine and was raised in Metairie, Louisiana.
Dawn received a nursing degree from LSU School of Nursing and enjoyed a rewarding career as a registered nurse at East Jefferson General Hospital that spanned over 21 years. Dawn was very passionate about her patients and co-workers and took great pride in her profession. In 2000, Dawn and Greg moved to Washington State where they remained. Although Dawn loved the Pacific Northwest, her heart always belonged to New Orleans. She brought her love and flare of New Orleans to the little town they lived in.
In addition to her husband, Dawn leaves to mourn a stepdaughter, Angela Vincent, and her son, Dalton Vincent; 2 brothers, John “Mike” and Dale Laurendine and their spouses; 4 nieces and 1 nephew, as well as 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews, and 1 great great niece. Dawn’s memories will be cherished by 3 special Godchildren as well as loving, lifelong, close friends. Dawn was preceded in death by her older sister, Jackie Lynn Laurendine.
Funeral Services and Interment were held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the Blue Mountain Humane Society through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
