David was second youngest of seven children. Born to Francesco Venneri and Peppina Josephine Ciarlo/Venneri, they were the first generation born in the United States. He made it to the age of 92, outliving all of his siblings, before passing.
He attended Braden School and graduated high school at St Vincent's Academy. David worked for Walla Walla School District #140 as a custodial engineer and retired 1986 from Blue Ridge. He was an active fourth degree knight in Knights of Columbus. He was one of the oldest members of the Italian Heritage Association of Walla Walla and often performed at Fort Walla Walla. David always enjoyed music, playing his accordion and often playing at adult care facilities. He spent countless hours volunteering for so many things.
On June 26, 1949, he married Marguerite M. Martuscelli at St. Francis Catholic Church. They were married for 60 years. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2010. He is survived by his three children: Fr. Michael David Venneri , Frederick Allen Venneri,, Elizabeth Ann Venneri Coke and granddaughter, Kelsey Coke, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David was "a master story teller, our family historian, and an expert on Walla Walla history." He was "a rare individual who could honestly say he never met a man he didn't like," interested in everyone's life; for him, every story well worth telling.
