David James Aycock

David James Aycock 38 of Walla Walla, Washington died October 20, 2011 at Walla Walla General Hospital. David was born on October 7, 1973 in Walla Walla to Daniel and Shirley Aycock. David attended grade school at Prospect Point. Junior High at Garrison and high school at WaHi. David also participated in Running start at WWCC and finished his education at WWCC.

David grew up participating in many 4-H projects and FFA at WA-Hi. Davids’ projects included pigs, dairy and his trusted dear horse Annie; who he rode faithfully and told many stories to. David completed 10 years of 4-H & 4 years of FFA. David married his best friend Erin Clarys on September 6, 2003 at the Aycock family homestead. David and Erin have three children; Madison, six, Wyatt, four, and Livia, 15 months. David taught his children to farm from the seat of his Kabota tractor.

David’s biggest treasure was his wife, children and extended family. David’s lifelong dream was to start his own family. David loved being a “Daddy.” Family was very important to David.
David’s hobbies included 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting, working on cars, and his greatest love was farming. He had the great pleasure of farming Grandpa LaRue’s hayfield for the past two years. David also helped Grandpa Aycock build several houses for family and helped him farm his hay fields as well. David enjoyed participating in demolition derby’s with his buddies.
David worked at the Washington State Penitentiary for the past 16 1/2 years.

David is survived by his wife Erin, children Madison, Wyatt and Livia at the home; parents Dan and Shirley Aycock, brother, Robert and sister-in-law Kyla Aycock, grandmother, Jean Aycock; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Bill Clarys, brother-in-laws, Harold and Brian Clarys and sister-in-law, Jennifer Fletcher and numerous and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Viewing & visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 4:00 PM until after the Rosary at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder. The Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 7:00 PM also at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Breier officiating. The Memorial Service will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Alder Street, Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Deacon Michael Breier officiating. There will be a dinner following at the Milton Freewater Junior Show grounds. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aycock Children College Fund through the Herring Funeral Home.
