Daniel Carl Arthur Carlisle

Daniel Carl Arthur Carlisle of Lowden, WA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Dan spent his early years in Spokane, WA, where he was born to Filmore & Alice Carlisle on March 11, 1949. In 1955 his family moved to Walla Walla, where he graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1967. Dan met Naomi Weaver at a wedding in Gardena and soon after asked her parents for permission to date her. With some motherly encouragement, Naomi accepted. Dan and Naomi married on August 5, 1972, at First Church of God Walla Walla and were blessed with two sons, David & Dan. Dan worked many jobs over the years, retiring in 2012 from his equipment operator position at the Walla Walla VA Medical Center.

Dan loved life and especially enjoyed time with family, hunting, golfing, watching Seahawks games and old western movies. He loved to reminisce about childhood hikes with his father along the lower Snake River prior to the river being dammed. Once an owner of a 1969 Dodge Charger RT, he was forever a MOPAR fan. Dan was a great father. No matter the need, his family was always provided for. He could be counted on when there was a job to be done. Dan and Naomi’s home was always open for their children and their friends for many good times through the years.

Dan is survived by his wife, Naomi; children, David Carlisle of Lowden and Dan (Justine) Carlisle of Walla Walla; siblings, Nancy (Cash) Frankiewicz of Walla Walla and Dale Carlisle of Lowden; as well as a large and widely dispersed extended family.

Dan is made new in His image. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.” Eph 2:8-9

Service will be on August 12, 2023, at 10:00 am, at New Beginnings Chapel, 822 W Main St, with a luncheon to follow. The interment will be at Touchet Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
