Curtis Damm was born February 1, 1954, in Walla Walla to Elaine Jeffs and Theodore Damm.
He was one of four boys and grew up competing in rifle shooting and learning mechanics from his father.
After high school, he joined the Army and served as a mechanic stationed in Hawaii and Florida. After an honorable discharge, he spent much of his life working as a small engine mechanic and later for the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin retiring just a few years ago. He took great interest in CB Radios, and his handle was “wunder Bug” after his other hobby of owning and working on Volkswagen Bugs. He also enjoyed steelhead fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elaine and Ted, and two of his brothers, Alan and David. He is survived by his brother, Larry, and his nieces and nephews: Wendy, Dawn, Robyn, Amanda, Rayn, Jaymi, John, and Zachary.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Bishop Christopher Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
