Craig Hamilton Davis, age 59, died at his Walla Walla home on Friday, May 25, 2012.
Born October 19, 1952 in Bellingham, WA, Craig attended Whitworth College in Spokane, WA and graduated in 1975. In 1978, he married Kristine Johnson. Their family lived 25 years in St. Helens, OR where he worked for Boise Paper. Craig and his wife moved to Walla Walla in 2009 where he worked for the Wallula Boise Paper and then in sales for Blankophor.
Craig’s actions expressed his priorities to his family, his work, and to his faith. He was an active member of many churches at different points in his life including St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walla Walla; First Lutheran Church in St. Helens, OR; and Yankton Baptist Church in Yankton, OR.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Kristine Davis, of Walla Walla; son, Andrew Davis, of Walla Walla; and daughter, Sarah Hallberg, of Valparaiso, IN. Craig is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Davis of Bellingham, WA; and his brother, Vincent Davis, of Milwaukie, OR.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Walla Walla Community Hospice or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Rector’s Discretionary Fund through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
