Cpl. Garrett Farrelly

It is with broken hearts we convey the passing of our beloved son, Garrett Farrelly.  Garrett passed away March 10, 2018, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Twentynine Palms, California.

Garrett attended Edison Elementary, Pioneer Middle School, and graduated in 2014 from Walla Walla High School.  While in school, Garrett played violin in orchestra from fifth grade through his senior year, participated in track, cross-country, honors courses, and loved his science classes.  After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps where he has been serving as an LAV Crewman with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance - Blackfoot Company.

Garrett is survived by his parents, David Farrelly and Tracy and Shannon Jones, all of Walla Walla; his sister, Savannah Smith (Spokane, WA), brothers, Cpl. Heston Farrelly (Twentynine Palms, CA USMC), and Zachary Mcmahon (Vancouver, WA).  Garrett also leaves his grandparents, Bill and Patricia Campbell (Spokane, WA), Mick and Sue Farrelly (Latah, WA), Rob Jones (Walla Walla), Richard Smith (Spokane, WA); and his adored niece, Madelyn.  His loss is greatly felt by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Garrett also leaves behind a tight group of Marine brothers who are feeling his absence greatly.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jacquie Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 9 AM at the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
